What’s in a name?
The name 23 Signals is rooted in the idea that as user researchers, we are looking not only for strong signals, or patterns, but the weak ones as well. Sometimes weak signals grow stronger over time, and being aware of them can keep a company one step ahead. Other times, weak signals are incredibly insightful data points of one that a single individual has been able to articulate. Often, they are the magical insight that can become the crux of a great idea.
